Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Alaox Holding, LLC, doing business as LunchDock (“LunchDock”, “we”, “us”). They cover your use of LunchDock, a service for ordering meals ahead to pick up at your work site during your break. By creating an account you agree to them and to our privacy policy.

Ordering

• Each order comes from one restaurant. Order before the cutoff shown for your break, usually 60 minutes before it starts.
• Prices are set by the restaurants. Before you place an order you see the food total, any promo discount, a service fee (currently $1.99 per order), sales tax, and any tip. There's no delivery fee.
• You can cancel an order in the app until the kitchen accepts it. A kitchen can decline an order it can't make, and we'll tell you in the app.

Paying

• Card: when you order, we place a hold on your card for the total and charge it when your order is delivered. If your order is several days away, we may replace the hold with a new one on the same card before it expires; you're still charged only once. If a new hold can't be placed in time and the kitchen hasn't started your order, the order is cancelled and you aren't charged. If you or the kitchen cancel first, the hold is released and you aren't charged. Card payments are processed by Stripe.
• LunchDock balance: your balance is used first unless you turn it off at checkout. Balance can come from money you add by card, credits we give, refunds, invites, or a meal program your employer pays for. Balance has no cash value except as described in our refund policy and can't be transferred.
• Pay at pickup may be offered where card payments aren't available.
• Tips go 100% to the courier who delivers your batch.
• Promo codes, invite credits and employer credits follow the conditions shown with them, can be used once per person unless stated otherwise, and may end at any time. We may cancel credits obtained through fraud or duplicate accounts.

Weekly meal plans

If you set up a weekly plan, you authorize us to place that order for you on the days you chose, about 2.5 hours before each break's cutoff, and to pay for it with your balance and then the saved card you picked. You can skip a day, pause or delete the plan in the app at any time before the order is placed. Each order it places is a normal order you can cancel until the kitchen accepts it.

Notifications and texts

Notifications and texts are optional and off until you turn them on. Text messages are covered by our text message terms.

Pickup

• Your food is left at your site's pickup point in a bag labeled with your name and order code. Our courier photographs the drop-off and may note the exact spot.
• Collect your bag during your break. We can't guarantee food left for a long time stays at a safe temperature, and we aren't responsible for bags collected by someone else. Please take only your own bag.
• Follow your employer's rules about where you can go and when.

Food and allergies

Meals are prepared by independent restaurants. Dietary labels and nutrition figures come from the restaurants and are for guidance only. Kitchen notes are passed on, but we can't guarantee a dish is free of any allergen. If you have a serious allergy, check with the restaurant before ordering.

Your account

• Keep your password private. You're responsible for orders placed from your account.
• One account per person. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse of staff or couriers, or repeated uncollected orders.

Independence

LunchDock is an independent business. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Amazon or any other employer. Restaurants on LunchDock are independent businesses.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
